5 Celeb Breakups We’re Still Not Over

We all know how easy it is to become invested in celebrity relationships more than you are with your own, and how equally heartbreaking it can be when your favorite couple decides to call it quits. From our teen idols to our favorite couples of the moment, here are the 5 celeb breakups we still haven’t fully recovered from.

Meeting on the set of High School Musical in 2005, there’s no denying that this genetically blessed couple were the embodiment of young love throughout most of our teen years. Ever since calling it quits in 2010, our little hearts still haven’t quite recovered. There’s no denying we still cry a little inside whenever we hear ‘Gotta Go My Own Way’, knowing that the real-life romance between these two is over.

Since the split, Vanessa has been loved up with Carrie Diaries heartthrob, Austin Butler (aka Sebastian Kydd), while Zac remains currently single after splitting with long-term girlfriend Sami Miro in 2016. That’s right ladies, he’s single…

Much like Vanessa & Zac, these two turned their on-screen romance on the O.C into a real-life love affair. With an obvious spark on-camera, this couple lasted 3 years before going their separate ways in 2006.

Although the split devastated millions of teens everywhere, the story doesn’t have a completely sad ending. A year after the breakup, Bilson started dating Hayden Christensen, and the pair welcomed their first child in 2014! As for Brody, he is now married to Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester (as I’m sure you already know), and the two also have a baby together! Who knows, maybe their kids will be friends?

It’s a known fact that the Kardashians can’t do anything drama-free, and break-ups are no exception. After only getting married within only 2 weeks of knowing each other, this romance was destined to be a whirlwind from the start. As their relationship played out on reality TV, we all became highly invested in the couple and their seemingly perfect life together.

However, as one problem led to another, the marriage eventually crumbled in 2013 and along with it so did our hearts. Although the two are on good terms now, this is one relationship we thought would be forever.

More recently on our radar was the break up of the chart-topping power couple, Calvin Harris & Taylor Swift. After a string of previous relationships each, we were certain these two would be tried and true! Not to mention they would have made beautiful musically-gifted babies. Constantly appearing loved-up on social media (like that adorable inflatable swan photo), the sudden split came as quite a shock to most.

According to sources, the two claim they just weren’t very compatible in certain areas of the relationship and it wasn’t progressing the way they would’ve liked it too. It’s safe to say we’re still pretty torn up about this one.

Arguably the trendiest and most stylish couple of 2016 were Bella Hadid & The Weeknd (aka Abel Tesfaye). From Bella’s domination in the fashion industry to Abel’s killer music career, these two were ultimate couple goals. Needless to say, our faith in love was destroyed when the pair decided to call it quits at the end of last year.

Abel quickly moved on with none other than Selena Gomez –  causing considerable drama within Taylor’s famous girl squad. To add to the drama, only a few months after the split Bella had to cross paths with her ex while walking down the Victoria Secret runway during her former boyfriend’s performance (awkwardd…). However, she managed to play off the whole situation like it was no big deal and looked like a TOTAL babe while doing so – instantly becoming an inspiration to us all! Go Bella!
