I don’t know about you guys, but we’ve been Cali’ dreaming lately. So in honour of Coachella (which is just over a month away!), we’ve come up with the ultimate Californian road trip. Here’s just a few places we’ll be stopping…
SANTA MONICA PIER
Ok, so this is an obvious one. But even still, it is a definite must-see if you find yourself in California. Arguably the most famous pier in the world, you will have seen it in countless movies and TV shows, and will definitely want to see it for yourself!
MAMA SHELTER BAR
Who doesn’t love a trendy rooftop bar? We know we do! Mama Shelter Bar on Selma Ave, LA is the perfect place to relax and watch the sun go down while having some drinks with the girls.
MCWAY WATERFALL TRAIL
If like us you’re always on the hunt for that prime Instagram shot, look no further than the McWay Waterfall Trail. Featuring 80 foot falls with water flowing onto the sandy shore below, this is the perfect spot to stop and take some photographs after an easy hike through the Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park.
Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, 52801 California State Route 1
PAUL SMITH PINK WALL
Speaking of Instagram, this next spot might look familiar. Located in West Hollywood, the pink exterior of the Paul Smith store is considered one of the most ‘Instagrammed’ walls in California #nofilternecessary
8221 Melrose Avenue, West Hollywood
REDONDO BEACH PIER DINER
Ok now trust me, this isn’t just your ordinary pier diner. Channel your inner Summer/Marissa and have lunch at the Pier Diner from The OC! This cafe featured regularly in the teen show (which is still one of our faves… The OC marathon anyone?). If you’re lucky you may even spot Seth or Ryan…
141 Fishermans Wharf, Redondo Beach
It wouldn’t be a road trip without a stop along the way for some good food! If you love burgers as much as we do then In-N-Out is a must-visit. And even better, it’s a drive-thru so you can keep those beats playing while you eat your feast. Burgers, cheese fries and good music, it doesn’t get much better than that.
Various locations in California
THAT PINK DOOR
This house in Palm Springs (and its quirky front door) looks straight off Pinterest… and you’ve probably come across it on there before! Unsurprisingly, it’s the most photographed front door in Palm Springs, and we think it’s definitely worth a visit! #housegoals
1100 Sierra Way, Palm Springs
And last but not least, a stop at DK’s Donuts for the sweet tooth in all of us. We can never say no to donuts, especially not when they look this good! When in America, right?
1614 Santa Monica Blvd, Santa Monica
We don’t know about you guys but we think it’s time we pack our bags… the ultimate California road trip awaits!
