Bronzed Goddess Makeup Tutorial

Summer may be coming to an end *cries* but that doesn’t mean you have to say goodbye to that sun-kissed, bronzing glow. We paired up with Brisbane makeup artist, Emma Chen, to show you how to perfect that Summery, goddess type look we all obsess over. This look is perfect for day to night and everything in between!

Firstly begin by prepping the skin, hydrating with a great moisturiser and eye cream will ensure your foundation glides on smoothly and evenly. A light layer of the Laura Mercier radiance primer, or any illuminating primer, on the high points of the face will help give that extra glow.

Apply a light layer of foundation to the skin making sure you don’t forget to blend the product down to the neck and over the ears. Emma uses the Zoeva buffing brush to create a flawless foundation finish.

Conceal under the eyes and on the t-zone using a creamy concealer. Emma recommends using the Nars radiant creamy concealer and a beauty blender to blend it out.

Next step is to contour. Instead of using a contouring kit, try a dark creamy concealer like the mac concealer in 7.5. Apply around the hairline and down the cheekbones and blend, blend, blend!

Apply blush to the apples of the cheeks and buff back towards the ears to give a beautiful flush of colour. Blushes with warm tones of apricot and golden pink are perfect for this look.

Using an eye shadow palette of burnt oranges and browns, brush the eye shadows over the creases and underneath the eyes to create a smokey effect. Adding a little bit of dark bronzer to the eyes will also enhance the golden glow.

Fill in the eyebrows using a brow pencil or shadow. Once filled, brush the eyebrows up and outwards and achieve a more natural look.

Apply lots of mascara to add length and volume to your lashes.

Using a shimmering highlighter, highlight the high points of the cheeks and the cupid’s bow. Add a little bit to the inner corner of the eyes as well to make them pop.

Add a little lipgloss to complete your look and have you feeling like a babein’ bronzed goddess!
