Surviving Coachella 101

So you scored those exclusive, sold-out tickets to the biggest music event of the year, headlined by only our fave songstress to grace the Earth? We’re not crying, honest. Ok we’re totes jelly, but not holding it against you, promise!

Whilst you gleefully count the hours/minutes/seconds away in the lead-up, now’s the time to not only mentally prepare your mind for the gloriousness that is Indio, California, but the actual planning behind getting there in one piece!

How are you getting there:

Book flights, transfers and accommodation to a T to ensure you don’t miss your fave artist performances. Just think, WWBD (What would Beyonce do?). Would she be disorganised? We think not.

If you’re already in your Coachella-chilled-headspace, and haven’t yet booked your flights…what are you waiting for girlfriend!?

The closest airport to fly into is Palm Springs International, however, if you aren’t a high-roller or if you’re money savvy, then we suggest hopping off the plane at LAX and bussing it there! On the other hand, if you’re #yolo, you can hire a Blade helicopter and make that celeb entrance you’ve always wanted to make.

Airport Transfers:

You will then need to either hire a car or book an airport shuttle for the 235 km adventure to the festival. We suggest an airport shuttle to your hotel unless you know how to drive on the right (wrong) side of the road… Ahhhh.

Transfers to the Festival

If you aren’t camping at the festival, booking as close to  Indio California is recommended and catching a shuttle bus is a sure-fire way to skip the parking lot of cars entering the festivities.

If you don’t have the luxury of booking close by, you’ll need to hire a vehicle & prepare your pretty face for traffic…

Oh, and ensure you have a designated driver – driving under the influence in ‘Merica is a criminal offence girls…not cool.

Carpooling is also suggested by Coachella which could win you VIP Passes to Coachella for LIFEEE: All the info is here. Thanks us later babes:

As a last resort, you can always hail a cab or try your luck with an UBER:

American Cab 760-322-4444

Yellow Cab of The Desert 760-340-TAXI (8294)

Desert City Cab 760-328-3000

Congrats babes you’re well on your way to arriving in style! Didn’t manage to score tickets this time round? You’re in luck! We’re giving away two VIP passes, return flights and accommodation plus $1000 spending money! Keep an eye out on how to enter coming soon!
