Recipe Benefits: Dairy free, Gluten free, Raw, Vegan, Refined Sugar free
Makes: One slab
ingredients
85g raw cacao butter
6 tablespoons maple syrup
6 tablespoons raw cacao powder
5 drops orange essential oil
3 tablespoons buckwheat
3 tablespoons raisins
Steps
Preheat the oven to 180C (fan), then place the buckwheat on a lined backing tray and lightly roast for roughly eight minutes.
Now, simmer a few inches of water in a saucepan and place a glass bowl over the top and melt the cacao butter.
Take the melted cacao butter off heat and add the maple syrup and cacao powder. Stir well for a few minutes until it becomes thick.
Add the orange essential oil, 2tbsp of roasted buckwheat and 2 tbsp of raisins.
Now pour the chocolate evenly onto a flat lined tray and sprinkle the remaining buckwheat and raisins on top (grate some orange zest at this point too if you want to add a pop of colour).
Place in the freezer to set for 40-50 minutes.
Once ready, break into pieces, serve and enjoy.
