R U OK? Day

Thursday the 10th of September is R U OK? Day. A national day to remember to take the time for your loved ones and ask “are you ok?” Depression and mental health issues are often unspoken about and sadly are the highest causes of death among young Australians. The R U OK? Foundation is endeavouring to inspire people to take the time to ask “are you ok?” and listen, so they can help people struggling with life feel connected long before they even think about suicide. It all comes down to regular, face-to-face, meaningful conversations about life. And asking “are you ok?” is a great place to start.

As well as helping you start these conversations, they’re working with experts in the field to monitor how these conversations impact on Australia’s suicide rate.

Help these guys get the conversation going, and donate here: http://ruok.org.au/#ConversationMate

We all have bad days from time to time. Send or share (just click/tap and save)  these with anyone you know or love, just to let them know they are valued and loved.

Are you ok? Remember, if you’re struggling – there is help.

We love you.
