Meet Jasmine Garnsworthy, another member of our Stylist Collective who leads an enviable life as a Fashion Editor in New York City. Jasmine sticks to feminine pieces that she styles to perfection with a street or boho edge. In other words, she suits everything and can effortlessly style a body con party dress to clashing prints for any occasion.
If you’re anything like me, you’re just as comfortable wearing a party dress during the day. This little red dress (much cooler than its black counterpart) doesn’t need much in the styling partner department—just some reflective shades and casual kicks for an outfit that’s made for summertime day drinking.
So, you could wear these shorts with a white top, and the printed top is easy to toss on over skinny jeans—but who wants easy? I picked the blue stripe Blake Shorts to style alongside the Allure Top to pick out the deep blue tones in the tropical print. Here’s a little hint: If you want to wear clashing patterns, find the deepest color in a print (like the dark blue in the leaf), and make it pop by matching it back to shorts or a skirt printed in the same darker shade. Another tip: Stripes go with everything.
This season—and next—will be all about off-the-shoulder tops and dresses. I picked mirrored sunnies and a classic leather jacket to toughen up the girly vibe of this tropical print dress—worn draped over my shoulders, natch.
